Inactive volcanic cones jut out of the landscape and overlook an expansive, ultramarine panorama of water with pinpoints of light dancing on its surface. Juxtaposed against this natural backdrop is Auckland with its sky-scraping buildings and white sails that dot the surrounding blue.
